GORDON SINCLAIR MEMORIAL FUND

The Gordon Sinclair Memorial Fund was established to provide continuing financial support to the Vancouver Police Pipe Band and to honour one of the Band’s most respect Members.

Constable Gordon Sinclair, a member of the Vancouver Police Department and Bandsman, was killed in the line of duty on December 7, 1955. Gordon was involved in the local pipe band and highland dancing community and was President of the B.C Pipers Association for many years. An experienced piper, composer and respected leader, Gordon Sinclair was a popular member of the Vancouver highland arts community. Through the kind permission of the Sinclair family, whose son Ian, later rose to the rank of Inspector within the Vancouver Police Department and Pipe Major of the Vancouver Police Pipe Band, we are proud to honour his service to the City, Department and Band through this fund.
